Mass Bay Divers
1986 - 2010

Mass Bay Divers, Inc is a club which was formed in 1986 and incorporated in July of 1993. We encourage newly certified divers and divers who have been inactive in the sport to continue diving. We have scheduled many club dives for the season. All members are invited to participate. None of the club dives are terribly difficult or extremely deep. All are as enjoyable and as interesting as Mother Nature will allow. Although shore diving is our primary focus, we also engage in other activities such as the Mass Bay Council Treasure Hunt, boat dives, camping trips, summer picnics, a pumpkin dive and a Halloween and Winter party. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at the South Shore Divers store in Weymouth at 7:00pm. Eligibility for membership requires that you must be 18 years old unless you join and attend club dives and Functions with your parent or guardian. You must be a certified diver, adhere to the club by-laws and make payment of annual dues. If this sounds like the type of club you would like to be a part of, you are welcome to attend our next meeting.

Reasons to Join a Dive Club
The reason you want to join a dive club is when you go to dive resorts on vacation, you are asked 3 things.  First, your current certification level,  second, how many dives you have completed to date, and third, when was your last dive.  The more experience you have, the more dives you can go on.  Joining a club will help you achieve all three requirements.  Another reason to join a club is you most always will have a Buddy to dive with.  At Mass Bay Divers you will find a diverse group of divers with diverse interest in all types of diving.   You will most likely find a dive buddy with interests the same as yours.
